Pine Valley is a rural community located 40 minutes from San Diego. However, it is much, much, more than that. It is a neighborhood, a place where people still greet each other when they pass, a place for children to play and a town that caters to a lifestyle that has been lost in the rush of city life. Parades, Horses, Hiking Trails and a place where the stars still shine at night. This is Pine Valley.

Located in the Cleveland National forest, Pine Valley has easy access to all the hiking trails and activities easily. The Cleveland National Forest is the southern-most National Forest in California. Consisting of 460,000 acres, the forest offers a wide variety of terrains and recreational opportunities.The Cleveland National Forest is a very special place in southern California. The forest is a haven for wildlife and plants. The wild shrub and tree-covered mountains are remnants of a landscape that at one time covered most of southern California.
When was the last time you saw a stagecoach on the main street of your town? During Pine Valley Days the local community shows it's true spirit. Carnivals, Fire Engines and Rodeos, along with all of your neighbors, combine to bring smiles to faces of everyone.
Although we are located in the heart of sunny southern California, we have seasons! Our unique location, nestled in the mountains, gives us access to many types of weather. No need to drive to the snow, during certain times in the winter, simply step outside your backdoor and enter a winter wonderland.
Crave the desert? Living here will give you easy access to many activities and locations like Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, Ocotillo Wells, Borrego Springs and many more. The deserts here aren't all dry and sand. The wildflowers bloom at certain times to create beauty you will not soon forget!
Because of our location, many bicycle enthusiasts use Pine Valley as a start or end point for their riding club events. Whether it is "Tour de France" style or off-road trail riding, you will find a place to do it here.
Pine Valley has a great Volunteer Fire Department. They are fully staffed and train continually to respond to any emergency situation in the community. There are many events at the Fire House and throughout the year and we recommend that you bring the kids!
